Port Lincoln and Local Environ's

Thailand holidays over for another year - relaxing and enjoyable tour of Southern Burma, and the house looks magic with it's new coat of paint! - Separate BLOG's

Landed on revised schedule – with SQ right behind us – bugger. Then an announcement – Health and Safety had to check out an ill pax before we could disembark. Meanwhile SQ discharging pax. Then they disembarked the rear of our plane, as the sick pax was behind us and we were not permitted to pass – talked to the Doctor who interviewed her as we walked to immigration – she was only air sick!!

The immigration hall was jammed – 1 hour to clear immigration. Thru customs – vac sealed cashews and curry paste – x-rayed our bags and on our way.

Full sun, cool refreshing breeze and an egg and bacon Sub for breakfast.

Rex on time and Chook picked us up – coffees and brief catch-up.

Cranked up the vehicles – washed the FJ, Troopy okay as in the shed. Van batteries on charge etc.

One casualty in the house – our fish trophy photo mosaic hit the deck and smashed – frame screw let go.

Tea at the Marina – Fillet Minions x 2 – excellent

Coles for provisions – 2015hrs it’s dark enough to sleep, not that any encouragement was required!

Soon on our deck - enjoying the views

Breakfast

One red delicious, and heaps of Granny Smith apples.
Manual retic for an hour as it’s dry!!

Anchor rope let go and end up on the beach - towed to the boat ramp and hauled out onto a trailer.
1000hrs weather looking good – loaded up and 1025hrs off to Farm Beach – 48k’s 38 minutes, and soon fishing off the rocks – taps and big fish along the blue line and salmon in closer. G – up to the vehicle to get some water – Sue landed a KGW 320 on the dot, then a wobble gong – 1340hrs all okay. Then @ 1345hrs stiff southerly across the bay – packed and gone as it hit!
Only Sue know how to hook the exotic's - no table fish landed.

Troopy maintenance
Tourist cruiser in port - massive 3,000+ passengers
Finally got the bugger nesting under our solar panels

Changing out the gutter leaf guard - the bristle gutter guard seem like a good solution - alas the leaves collected and the spiders loved the environment, exacerbating the issue.
Much better solution the the mesh

Off into town to change out battery seems all okay – now fully charged.

Black as on the horizon and Sue rang just as leaving as the cold front is building. Started to rain as I got to the park, and really started to blow as I got to the RSS turn off. Sue holding down the annex, pegs out on the BBQ side and the annex pole had collapsed, with one roof rafter out. Soon under control with the Troopy as a wind break helped. Wind 70 – 90kph with a max gust of 105kph.
Rain and wind for 5 days - 103KPH
Hence the Troopy placed in front of the annex
It's fizzing!

Eye bolt secured with lead into the rock

Suspect the eye bolt was used to haul boats into the crevice for maintenance / dry dock
