Great to wake up in our home bed!! Soon up and at it, accounts and
diary updated. Checked the garden more closely – fruit trees shoots new growth,
the lemons going well. Hedge shrubs doing okay. Heaps of leaf litter and twigs and the weeds.
Backed the caravan down the driveway – Opp’s, no stopping once off the
road and a slow slide into the side of the shed – one sheet panel damaged.
No damage to the caravan, the port corner bumper did the damage.
Straightened up the van and applied full electronic brakes and under control for the 2nd attempt.
After a few months of King Ash Bay dust ready for a______
CLEAN!
Water blaster sure helps
Good water management - drained the bore water
Parked up for awhile and ready for the Linden's visit early October
Off for a walk – 7 degrees – Mad!! Plus we got rain/drizzled on as we
got to PP.
Removed
and assembled tinnie trailer. Duncan Moore dropped around to quote on the shed
damage - $100 – 150. Okay proceed.
Off loaded the lot to sort it out and get some weights
0730hrs noise curfew lifted – working folks sleeping in on a Sunday!
Rake the leaf and twigs – 1hr 20min. Some weeding in the process and
checked water reticulation. Full bin plus a bag full, thats what we call a low maintenance garden.
Pritty good considering we had been away 3+ months
Boat Supplies – 4 bow Bimini for $200 – discounted from a customer whom
had returned after 1 year, perfect fit for our 4.2 tinnie.
Chook delivered after work.
Off
load the tinnie and onto its trailer. Removed the tinnie tosser, and motor
cradle. Remove most to the stuff in the cargo area and
weighed. All up with some weights estimated 570kg.
Got rid of the Mud tires. New tires on
the front and rotate tires – now 6 in the rotation schedule.
Spot the road treasures = one glove in the gutter and the 2nd glove above the street light shadow. Both in good condition and very rare
Removed the wheel carrier from the troopy – installed a PVC cover for the swing arm axel stub, and used a worm drive clamp to hold insitu.
Weight with # plate holder and tool holder plus brackets – 20.4kg. All
up 75kg for just one spare wheel. Looks good.
Sue landed a very small fillet or two
Meanwhile we'll have snags with onion for lunch
0430hrs out the cot and off with hot coffee – Chook on arrived 0455hrs –
launch the boat and onsite at the pumping station 0520hrs. Our own private
fishing ground – so private the ‘FISH’ don’t even know about it! However soon
onto some squid. I persevered with a snapper rig with no takers. Finally a
small yellow fin rig, leather jacket, then busted off on a bigger one.
Tried for some squid with my jigs – no takers. Put one of Chooks on –
same colour and size Jumbo uses – 2nd cast = SQUID! Go figure – get
rid of all the other crap.
0900hrs home with a food grade squid and some fresh bait, chucked all
our old stuff well past it's use by date, even as bait.
Low maintenance, easy weeds. Knee pads on and good to go
30 minutes later all done
Not a happy camper, viral infection required a couple of nights in Port Lincoln hospital. IV med's soon sorted it out.
Guess who demolished Sue tea
Soon home with some flowers from our neighours Marg and Nev.
